We have found that we are receiving major interest in the genealogy side of our business; Heir Line (www.heir-line.co.uk) so a brand new sample is required. We've developed links with a book binder who is creating a bespoke design for our personalised books. With this in mind, our head genealogist Mike has set about creating a report for his own family, with one rule: only recorded information is allowed in it, no hearsay, no assumptions, just the facts. The trouble is, the no assumptions rule requires dilligent checking of transcribed records, as Rochfords can easily becomes Rockfords, as has just been discovered. Mind you, this is the person who read Rev. Fr. Howard, and blurted out: "Oh, I wonder if this vicar was called Frankie", before ashamedly trudging off into the corner.
We've got a fantastic offer on at the moment, you tell us the names of your grandparents, and for free, we'll aim to tell you theirs. Drop us an email, you'll be surprised to hear that we also throw in address and occupation details... but don't delay, because we won't!

2010 is just around the corner!
Things are moving at a pace now, and we're already filling up the diary for next year! Not that we have bought a 2010 diary yet. Will have to remember to mention it to Santa.
We have found out today that we will be exhibiting our work at 4 new towns and cities around Yorkshire, previously unvisited by Personart and Heir Line (they have been missing out!) and this takes us up to the summer months, when hopefully it will be a bit warmer than it is now.
There are lots of exciting new developments on the horizon that we'd love to share with you all......but we can't! But watch this space.
In the meantime, why not place YOUR orders with Santa! We can offer you a whole range of exciting and unusual gift ideas from our Heir Line and Personart ranges. Visit www.heir-line.co.uk to discover your heritage (and have it all presented in a beautiful bound book - ideal to give as a gift to that special person in your life) or www.personart.co.uk to order beautiful, flattering illustrations of your loved ones.
Bye for now!
PS don't forget to look us up on Facebook.

Keeping warm for the winter
The trouble with working in an office within a building that's 107 years old is that it is notoriously difficult to keep warm. Even so, it's great to work in a place that you can find on a census record! But it's a good job we've bought an exercise bike because it's a fantastic replacement for central heating. The only problem is it takes that bit more effort....
And it's the same with our company goals! If you really really want to achieve something, you've got to work hard at it. So whilst we are pedaling away trying to keep warm in the office, we're also beavering away to secure some great new business with some exciting new clients.
Here's to working hard to stay warm this winter!

Displays!
I wish we'd taken the camera out last night, but I suppose sometimes you just have to stop thinking about life through a lens. The fireworks were very colourful, but I think perhaps the ducks in residence on their lake just in front of the display may have preferred some warning!
It's supposed to be a leave day today, so I'm working from the office at home, but that doesn't really seem to add up to a day off. The problem is, we've got some VERY exciting developments bubbling away... which I'll post more info on when I'm 'allowed to', suffice to say in the words of Paul Daniels, way back when 'Every Second Counts!'
